Barn. Circa 1700. Timber framed, weatherboarded, main roof thatched, midstrey
roofed with handmade red plain tiles. 5 bays aligned NE-SW, midstrey to NW.
Main roof hipped, midstrey gabled. Base wall of red brick in English bond,
mainly tarred externally, partly cement-rendered externally, all cement-rendered
internally. Original great doors in midstrey, one C20 window in front wall near
right end. High pitching door in right return. C20 sliding vehicle doors at
rear of threshing bay. Heavy studding, primary straight bracing, face-halved
and bladed scarf in rear wallplate, bolted knees to straight tiebeams. Main
frame fully jointed and pegged. Clasped purlin roof. Originally built with a
loft floor in the 4 outer bays, later removed.
