A mid-late C19 red brick house with some black brick diapering, Gabled
wings projects at the east and west ends, 2 storeys, 1:2:1 window range,
casements with glazing bars, with stucco square hood moulds. The doorways
have 4-centred arches, At the west end there is a small C20 shop with
a corner entrance. Roof tiled, with cut and shaped ornamental bargeboards.

Nos 47 to 57 (odd), the School and Clocktower with No 30 and 44 to 50
(even) and Nos 1 and 2 Shore Road form a group (Nos 47 to 53 (odd) and
Nos 48 and 50 are of local interest).
