C16 house with front range of C18 red brick in Flemish-bond, roof ridged and
fly-hipped, clad with peg-tiles. Eaves and troughing. Front door central to
ground storey and with 2 rectangular fanlights over, wide wooden case with flat
hood on consoles. Windows left and right 8 pane hornless sashes and a range
of 3 matching sashes on the first storey - all with stone arches and sills. On
plan 2 parallel ranges with intervening valley and a short wing with gable extending
to the rear. Inside Elizabethan panelling in rear range with guilloche pattern
and a former main entrance door with 2 round wooden columns. Documentation from
1319. Site partly moated.
