2/39 The Lion Public House

Public house. C18. Timber framed, plastered and partly clad with painted
brick, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. Double-range plan facing N, with
one internal stack in each range, external stack at left end, and C20 external
stack to rear. C20 single-storey extension to left, behind stack. C20
flat-roofed single-storey extension to rear. 2 storeys. Ground floor, 2 late
C19 tripartite sashes of 4-16-4 lights, and one splayed bay of late C19 sashes
of 8-16-8 lights. First floor, 3 similar tripartite sashes. Flush 6-panel
door, the top panels glazed, in simple doorcase with dentilled open pediment.
Roof fully hipped, valley open at right end only.
