2/41 Anchor Cottage

Cottage. C18. Timber framed, partly weatherboarded, partly clad with red brick
in Flemish bond, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 2 bays aligned N-S (a
third bay to the S now incorporated in Chestnuts, item 2/40, q.v.) with external
stack to E of N bay. 2 single-storey lean-to extensions to the E, one forming a
catslide with the main roof, the other roofed with red clay pantiles. The N
gable end (to The Street) forms the entrance elevation. 2 storeys. One C19/C20
casement on each floor. Wide plain boarded door, original. Chamfered axial
beams, plain joists of vertical section.
