A row of shops, Cl8 and Cl9. Mainly timber framed and plastered with grey
slate roofs. The main range, with 6 flat head dormers with Cl9 casements and
2 storeys and attics. The incorporated right range of 2 storeys with grey slate
roof hippd to the road. Moulded and bracketed eaves to main range. 9 window
range includes C20 central bay to main range and early Cl9 small paned vertical
sliding sashes to remaining 8 windows. Ground floor has a carriageway opening
to left with boarded doors, a Cl9 shop front with 2 recessed doors, bracketed
corners and vertical strip top rail. A central C20 ½ glazed door and to right,
a C20 plate glass shop front with central door and Co-opeative Fascia above.
The right return wall is weatherboarded. 3 gault brick chimney stacks.
