A group of 3 shops with extended wings to rear. C17 or earlier origins with
C18 and later alterations. Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roofs.
2 storeys and attics 136/138. 2 storeys 140. Gabled to 138 with C19 barge
boards and late Cl9 ΒΌ paned sliding sash window to attic. 3:2:3 window range
to first floor of small paned, vertical sliding sashes, those to 138 of Cl9
with pentice boards over and to 136 of Cl8 with moulded architraves. Projecting
shop fronts. C20 shop front and part glazed door to 140. C20 shop front and
glazed door to left of 138 with C19 window to right and with a moulded fascia.
136 with coved and moulded fascia. Three fluted pilaster strips with patera to
capitals and moulded base. Weatherboard below window to right.
