Restaurant. Early C17 or earlier. Originally The Market House with 3 open
arches to East. Converted to shops by late C19. Timber framed and plastered
with ashlar panels. ½ hipped red plain tiled roof with 3 hipped dormers with
pivot casements. 3 range small paned, double hung sliding sash windows to first
floor. Shop front set back from jetty, with three windows of 7 lights each
with centre transomes and 4 pilasters. ½ glazed door, with Gothic panels and
lights. 2 symmetrically placed red brick chimney stacks with moulded capping.
Royal Insurance Plaque to left. Probably RCHM 6.
