TQ 49 NE THEYDON GARNON OFF CHURCH LANE

House. Possibly a C17 or earlier core with C18 red brick facing. Timber framed
with hipped red tiled roof. 2 hipped dormers. 2 storeys and attics. 3 window
range of C19 horned vertical sliding sashes. Central boarded door with 2
lights, flat canopy and brackets, approached by steps. Attached shaft red brick
chimneys to right and left. Sides and rear plaster and weatherboard clad.
Interior said to contain re-used panelling, c1650 carved overmantel, C16
stained glass quarry in staircase window with heart shaped device and initials
I. & T.B. RCHM 2 Homested Moat.
