6/12 The Toll House

Toll cottage, early C19. Brickwork, rendered, with exposed dentils below
caves. Roof of handmade red clay tiles. 2 rooms aligned E-W with chimney stack
In middle of E wall, and rear Wing to N forming a T plan. Flat-roofed extension
to N, C20. Roof hipped all round. Single storey. S elevation, 4 panel door,
one C20 metal casement window. Built by Epping and Ongar Highway Trust c.1818
(B. Winstone: Epping and Ongar Highway Trust, 1891, 140 and 148).
