House, C18, converted to cottages in C19 and later combined, altered in C20.
Mainly timber framed and plastered, part brickwork, roofed with handmade red
clay tiles. Aligned approx. E-W, with 2 storey elevation of plastered timber
framing and short roof pitch to N, single storey elevation of painted brickwork
and catslide roof to S. 2 internal chimney stacks in catslide. Single storey
extension to E, C20, linking with C18/19 coach-house/stable block aligned
approx. N-S to form an L plan. This last roofed with C19 red clay pantiles.
S elevation, 2 C20 doors, one half-glazed, other under a tiled bracketed hood.
Two C19/20 casement windows, one early C19 double-hung sash Window of 9
lights. 2 early C20 casement windows in gabled dormers. Originally the entrance
elevation was to the N, but this is now a garden elevation and the approach is
from the S. Some framing exposed internally, mainly on the ground floor.
Transverse beams plain chamfered with simple concave stops.
