Aisled barn, late C17. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roof mostly of handmade
red clay tiles, with some slates. 7 bays, aligned approx. E-W, with aisles
on both sides and continuing round both ends. 2 gabled midstreys on S side,
2 high doors on N side with catslide roofs. Jowled posts, straight tiebeams,
arched braces to them with struts in the spandrels, arched arcade braces. The
inscription on a tiebeam 'Built 1687' recorded by the RCHM covered by timber
supporting a platform when examined in March 1983. RCHM 10.
