TL 50 NE ABBESS, BERNERS AND BIRDS GREEN
BEAUCHAMP RODING

House, former Public House. c.1600, 2 storey timber framed and plastered (rough
cast) house. 'L' shaped with gabled, peg tile roof over south range and gabled
range at right angles at the NE corner. The corner of the 'L' has been infilled
with modern extensions. Chimney stack on SW gable and original stack within
rear range breaking the ridge line. Modern open timber and brick gabled porch
at NW corner. Windows are a mixture of modern leaded light casements those
on the ground floor are slight bows. Timber frame exposed within.
