TL 50 NE ABBESS, BERNERS AND ROMAN ROAD (SE SIDE)

House. Circa 1600. 2 storey, timber framed and plastered baffle entry plan
form. Roof half hipped, peg tiled with off-centre contemporary concertina stack
of angled shafts. Gabled peg tiled service block extension on SE corner.
Gabled and jettied peg tile roof extension in front of W end. Modern leaded
light casements. Frame is partially exposed inside and main stack has original
brick arched opening on ground floor and plaster coated 4-centre arched solar
fireplace with double chamfered jambs and pargetted decoration on overmantel.
Pump and well in yard.
