5/46 Brickyards


House. Late C16 or early C17, timber framed and plastered, with red plain tile
roof. 2 storeys. L-shaped plan. 2 window range, vertical sliding sashes with
glazing bars. Central 4 panelled door, and C20 gabled porch. Moulded eaves
cornice. Extensive oak frame with softwood joists. Brick floors. C20, 1
storey extension at south west. Red brick end wall chimney stacks. Probably
originally built as brickmaster's house.
