GV II

House , late C18, extended in C20. Stock brick, Flemish bond, roofed with
handmade red clay tiles. Double pile plan with 2 chimney stacks in each side
wall, aspect approx. S. Small 2-storey extension with lean-to roof on w end,
single storey extension to NW, both C20. 2 storeys. S elevation, central
half-glazed door in shallow doorcase with dentilled pedimented hood, 2
tripartite double-hung sash windows of 4-12-4 lights with flat arches of gauged
red brick and jambs of red brick. First floor, 3 double-hung sash windows of
16 lights in similar apertures. Parapet with stone coping. Symmetrical
composition. N (garden) elevation, central 6-panel door, the top panels glazed,
simple doorcase with shallow hood, 2 double-hung sash windows of 16 lights with
segmental brick arches. One similar window at half-floor height, above door, 2
at first floor. These windows contain many panes of crown glass. Some original.
pine panelled dados inside, and some reproduction panelling. Original doors of
6 panels.
