House, C18, extended in C19 and C20. Stock brick, dressings of red brick,
roofed with handmade red tiles. Double-pile plan with original entrance
elevation (now the garden elevation) to SW, with 2 chimney stacks in each side
wall. 2-storey service wing, C18, extending NE from SE part. 2-storey
extension to SE of main block, C19, and 2-storey extension, C20, beyond, each
block now comprising a separate house. 3 storeys. SW elevation, 5 french
windows with segmental heads and segmental arches of gauged red brick, red brick
jambs. String course of red brick. First floor, 4 double-hung sash windows
of 6 lights with blind boxes, segmental heads and segmental arches of gauged
red brick, and in the middle a dummy window of the same kind. String course
and moulded cornice of red brick above. Second floor, 4 double-hung sash
windows of 4 lights with similar heads, and in the middle a dummy window of
the same kind. String course of red brick and parapet with stone coping. 3
stone steps to central french window. C19 SE extension has 3 double-hung sash
windows of 12 lights with segmental brick arches on each floor. The SE
elevation of the NE wing has a C20 door and porch, and 3 double-hung sash
windows of 12 lights on each floor, containing many panes of crown glass. 2
string courses and parapet with stone coping. Door in NE elevation of main
block is C19, glazed, in reeded wooden doorcase with semi-elliptical pediment.
Blank window recesses in NW elevation, towards road.
