4/27 Wall and railings to
E of brook house
GV II E of Brook House
Wall and railings, late C18. Stock brick, Flemish bond, with stone coping,
piers of red brick with red tile copings, railings of cast iron. The wall,
approx. 2 metres high, follows the SE side of High Road from the boundary of
Farthings to the SW elevation of Brook House, a distance of approx. 45 metres
with one double gateway through. From there adwarf wall approx. 1 metre high
on which railings approx. 1 metre high are mounted continues SW approx 80
metres. A section on either side of High Mead has been rebuilt further back
to provide splayed sight lines.
