4/38 Ten Mile Cottage

GV II

House, late C18. Timber framed, roughcast rendered, roofed with handmade red
clay tiles. Aligned approx. NE-SW, aspect SE, 2 chimney stacks on rear wall.
Parallel range to rear. Bakehouse at N corner, with end chimney stack. 2
storeys. SE elevation, central 6-panel door, the top 2 panels glazed, shallow
pedimented hood, 2 sash windows of.12 lights, 3 similar windows on first floor.
Windows have hinged supports to upper sashes. Some crown glass in upper and
lower windows. The whole forms a symmetrical composition. NW (garden)
elevation, central 6-panel door, shallow pedimented hood, tripartite double-hung
sash window of 4-12-4 lights each side. First floor, 2 double-hung sash windows
of 12 lights, late C18, and C20 window in the middle.
