Gv II

House, c.1800. Stock bricks, roof not visible behind parapet. Double pile,
entrance elevation to NW, 2 chimney stacks in each side wall. 2-storey
extension to NE, C19. Blocked central entrance at the head of 6 stone steps,
porch of 2 columns and pilasters with simple foliate capitals, dentilled
cornice. 4 double-hung sash windows of 4 lights, late C19, under flat arches
of gauged brick in shallow recesses with round arches of gauged brick. First
floor, 5 double-hung sash windows of 12 lights, original, with flat arches of
gauged brick. Second floor, 5 double-hung sash windows of 6 lights, late Cl9.
Parapet with stucco string course. SE (garden) elevation, ground floor, 5
double-hung sash windows of 12 lights of full storey height. First floor, 5
french windows, 2-'storey'cast iron balconies, with lattice design at ground
floor, Greek key design at first floor, tented canopy. Some damage to scalloped
edge, floors reinforced with steel girders. Some pine panelling inside.
Complete set of folding internal shutters on ground and first floor.
