7/16 Wall extending SE from
Lambourne Hall


Wall, C16 and later, extending approx. 15 metres SE from front elevation of
Lambourne Hall. Red brick, lime mortar, English bond to a height of approx. 2
metres from ground, C16; Flemish bond approx. 1 metre above that, C18/C19.
Interrupted by doorway approx. 1 metre wide near house, abutting on C20
brickwork at SE end. Contains 3 bee boles on SW side, 1.12 metres from ground,
with arched heads of 4-centred curvature. Interiors thinly plastered, plaster
now decayed. Each bee bole is 44 cm wide, 43 cm high, 24 cm deep. RCHM 3
