Pair of attached cottages, late C18/early Cl9. Timber framed, weatherboarded
and plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. Aligned NE-SW with central
chimney stack, lean-to extensions to NW. 2 storeys with attics. SE elevation,
no.3, ground floor weatherboarded, roughcast above, glazed door, one C20
casement window on each storey; no.4, ground floor weatherboarded, plastered
above, one C19/C20 casement window on each floor. Gambrel roof. Both side
elevations weatherboarded with attic window, no.4 also with a C20 porch. Some
exposed framing in no.4. Exposed joists above ground floor, face-halved and
bladed scarf in wallplate, brickwork of hearth repaired.
