House. Mid C16, incorporating remains of earlier structure. Timber framed
and plastered with red plain tile roof. 2 storeys, with gabled crosswing at
north and south ends. South crosswing projects forward. West front has 1,2,1
window range C19 and C20 casements and C19 vertical sliding sashes with glazing
bars. Small gabled porch with red plain tile roof. Projecting bread oven,
with red plain tile roof. East front has C17 and C19 lean-to extension, and
lean-to porch, vertically boarded, with red plain tile roof. Various late C16
or early C17 leaded casements. Late C16 door, with moulded battens. Central
late C16 red brick chimney stack, with attached diagonal shafts, partly rebuilt
at top. South chimney also C16 with diagonal shafts. Internally, the original
frame survives with many original details such as door, fireplaces and newel
stair. (RCHM 10).
