TL 40 NW NAZEING BACK LANE,
3/42 Longyard Cottage

House. C16 with mid C18 alterations. Timber framed and plastered, with red
plain tile roof. 2 storeys. 2 gables to front. 2 window range C20 leaded
casements. C20 central porch. Original red brick chimney stack with 4 diagonal
shafts. Lean-to extensions left and right. Internally much of the original
frame survives and there is a carved date relating to the alterations "W. R.
1740".
