TL 40 NW NAZEING BACK LANE,
3/46 Ravens
14.4.82 II

House. Late C17 or early C18. Timber framed and weatherboarded with half
hipped red plain tile gambrel roof. 2 storeys and attics. 3 window range,
C19 casements with glazing bars. 2 hipped dormers with leaded lights. Central
6 panelled door with fanlight over, and simple flat hoods on scrolled brackets.
Wood modillioned eaves course. Single storey weatherboarded extension to north
with half hipped red plain tile roof. Lean-to at rear is probably original
with C20 gabled porch. Internally on ground floor are four early C19 paintings
on door panels.
