TL 40 NW NAZEING MIDDLE STREET,
3/59 Dormers

GV II*

House. Late C15 open hall with crosswings. Timber framed and plastered, with
frame exposed externally. Red plain tile roof. 2 storeys, with gabled and
jettied crosswings. The hall roof raised and first floor inserted in late C16.
1,2,1 window range, C20 casements. Late C16 staircase tower at rear, with
gabled red plain tile roof. Lean-to extension at rear of service wing.
Internally, most of the original frame survives with jowled storey posts, stop
chamfered beams and side purlin roofs. (RCHM 9).
