Barn 40m south-west
of Hill Farmhouse
(Lambourne Parish)

Barn. Late C16, timber framed and black weatherboarded with peg tile roof
gabled at south-west end and hipped on north end. Off centre great doors
covered by extension at rear. Of 4 original bays with jowled posts and long,
curved external braces. Tie beam braces have been removed and substituted with
knees. Later bay at north-east end, formerly open sided shed with cast
iron corner posts. Roof of main barn rebuilt with 'V' struts and side purlins.
Primarily of group value with Hill Farmhouse and other outbuildings.
