Cottage. Late C16/early C17. Timber framed and black weatherboarded and of
two storeys with a higher eaves line over the southern half. Gabled peg tile
roofs and single storey rear extension block of slightly later date and also
with gabled peg tile roof. To the rear of this again, a C20 extension with
lean-to asbestos roof. Near central square ridgeline stack and gault brick
stack on flank of rear extension. Windows are a mixture of C19 and C20
casements, some with small panes and some with a single horizontal glazing bar.
C20 gabled porch hood, off-centre on front. Frame exposed internally showing
jowled posts and large square section floor joists. C17 chimney stack with
inglenook fireplace.
