GV II

Entrance gates. Early C19. Brick roughcast pillars. Cast iron gates. The
large rectangular pillars with moulded bases and cornices. Each with a
pedestrian entranceway through inner returns to rear, and cast iron gates with
lower panel, ornate tracery to upper panel, cast PDC 1834. The Park wall
adjoining, dated by plaque PC 1825. q.v. 2/59. Double carriage gates of plain
rails and side panels of later date.
