House. 1902-3. A.H. Mackmurdo. Red brick with some rough rendering. Red plain tiled roofs. 3 attached diagonal shaft red brick chimney stacks visible from south face of house. Asymmetric plan, the main range 2 storeys with gabled 2 storey bays to left and right, first floor red tiled porch between, 2 storey range to left and right of the bays, a 2 storey and attic with gabled dormer and sun porch to far right and a flat roofed single storey extension to far left, this with patio doors. 2:1:2:1:2:2 window range to first floor including angle oriel to fifth range which has a roof hipped to right with gablet. One window to each ground floor range excepting the 2 right ranges, windows mainly square leaded casements of 2 or 3 lights, some mullioned some with mullions and transoms, moulded surrounds. Small paned bay to left range. Half glazed door. A large square observation tower rises from the roof ridge above the door. The base of red brick and hanging tiles, paired windows to each face, red tiled pyramidal roof with moulded eaves cornice and ball finial. North face with large covered carriageway to doorway with fluted Ionic pilasters.
