6/206 Chappel Farmhouse


House. Circa 1812 front range. C16/C17 or earlier rear range. Timber framed.
Red brick facing to front range, plastered rear range. Hipped red plain tiled
roof to front range. Right and left red brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys and
cellar. 3 window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, that to first
floor centre with round head and traceried glazing bars. Central 6 panelled
door with reveal panels, capitals and bases to pilasters, frieze and pediment,
rafters in attic dated 1812 or 1816. Good stick staircase. The rear range
features include stop chamfered bridging joists, halved wall bracing and jowled
