Public house. C18, C19 and C20. Brick built, part plastered, part
weatherboarded. Grey slate roofs, hipped to C18 right range, hipped to left of
C19 left range. 2 red brick chimney stacks to right and one stack to left of
left range. 1:3 window range to first floor, 2:2 to ground floor. Those to
left range with segmental arches, all vertically sliding sashes with glazing
bars. Central recessed round headed doorway with panelled soffit, panelled
double doors, flights of 5 steps from left and right approach the central
entrance platform these with cast iron stick balusters to rails. Important
location at road junction. Forms group with linked cottage west (left)
q.v. 2/60.
