C14 house with open hall and one storeyed cross wing. Timber framed and
plastered with frame exposed on south of jettied wing. Weatherboard below
jettied and on east end wall of hall range. Roof hipped on wing, gabled
on hall. Red brick chimney stack (restored) on hall ridge. Lean-to porch
at south-east, peg-tiled. South elevation ground storey. Set of 3 wooden
casements under jetty and 2 sets along hall-range. Range of 3 casements
sets on first storey. Hall laterally divided with added first storey during
C16 and C17 respectively. Floor joists of wing heavy, with central tenons.
Heavy wind braces in hall, and cross-quadrate crown post.
