Dated 1777. Walls of red brick in Flemish bond, roof, hipped and slated with eaves and one red brick chimney at its south end.

Date on a stone inscribed: "This free school was founded and endowed by William Martin Esq. Formerly Lord of the Manor of Netteswellbury. For the education of 20 poor children. And was erected by the Trustees appointed by his will in the year of our Lord 1777".

This stone placed under a blind recess central to the first storey, with a pair of small-paned hornless sashes either side of it, under straight arches. Central door (modern) in a case with a flat leaded hood, and pairs of matching sashes each side.
