ST. OSYTH COLCHESTER ROAD

Cottage. Early C16, with later alterations to first floor. Timber framed and
plastered. Red plain tiled roofs of 2 levels, that to right gambrelled, hip to
left. Later rear wing. 2 storeys to left, one storey and attic with flat head
dormer to right. Jetty to left. Various 2 window range, those to ground floor
small paned bays. Central 4 panelled door, moulded surround, flat canopy on
brackets. Internally part of a heavy timber frame visible with halved and
bridled top plate scarf. Later addition with halved and bladed scarf.
