Barn. C16. Septaria and rubble north and west walls with flint galletted
mortar, offset at centre, stone plinth. Timber framed and weatherboarded south
wall with 3 gabled midstreys. Red plain tiled roof. South east red brick
chimney stack with spiral shaft. Probably 13 or 14 bays, those to east boarded
and used as a dwelling, to west boarded and furnished as a C19 stable. North
face. 2 first floor windows to east with a window under, all 2 light, square
heads with labels and a single light adjoining the stone doorway, with square
head and label over, to west is a doorway with similar head and the similar west
stable doorway with C19 vertically boarded door and ornate hinges. Straight
braces to double side purlin roof. Arched braces to tie beam, wall posts to
north wall. The stable bays have a brick floor and vertically boarded lower walls.
Iron rails to upper part of stable partitions. Boarded bow feeding
chutes over mangers. Arched pelmet over stable rails. Loft over. Scheduled Ancient
