8/43 Nos. 80, 82, 84 and 86

Hall house with right and left crosswings and additions, now cottages. C16
origin with C17 left hipped gable range and various rear ranges, those to right
extending to rear of Nos. 76 and 78 q.v. 8/44. Exposed timber frame. Red
plain tiled roof, with gable to right and 2 hipped crossings to left, chimney
stack between these crosswings, off centre right stack to hall and rear stack to
right. 2 storeys. 1:1:2:1 first floor and 1:1:2:2 ground floor windows of
various small paned vertically sliding sashes to left and right wings those to
right with thick glazing bars. C20 diamond leaded casements to hall. Left and
central 4 panel 2 light doors, right 6 panelled door, simple surround, flat
canopy. The centre range No. 82 has a simple 2 armed crown post roof, cambered
tie beam, moulded bridging and ceiling joists to ground floor room. No access
to other dwellings at time of re-survey. Possibly RCHM 6.
