House. Late C17, altered in C19. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roofed with
slate. 4 bays facing N, with stack in second bay from right end behind axis,
forming a lobby-entrance. C18/19 single-storey extension to rear of right bay,
roofed with handmade red clay tiles, with C20 external stack at end. C20
single-storey lean-to extensions with felt roofs at right end and behind main
range. One storey with attics. 3 C20 casements with C20 external shutters, and
one without in right extension. C20 partly glazed door. Much of the
weatherboarding is of elm, repaired with softwood, treated with gas tar; the
front elevation is of white painted weatherboards. The stack is rendered.
Chamfered axial beams with lamb's tongue and jewel stops. Wood-burning hearths
reduced for C20 grates. The stair is in the original position, in front of the
stack, but is not necessarily the original stair.
