GV II

House. C18 and C19. Red brick in Flemish bond, partly plastered, roofed with
handmade red clay tiles and slates. C18 3-bay range aligned E-W, of one storey
with attics, with gambrel roof, and early C19 entrance range to N of it, of 2
storeys. C19 extensions to rear right. External stack at right end, and 2
internal stacks. 3-window range of early C19 sashes of 12 lights with crown
glass, with moulded architraves on the ground floor. At left end of front
elevation, one blind aperture on each floor. Off-centre double doors each of 2
panels, overlight with marginal lights, Greek Doric portico with fluted and
dentilled soffit. The entrance range is plastered and lined in imitation of
stone blocks. Parapet with moulded cornice. Hipped roof. In right return, one
similar sash on the ground floor. The left return has a 2-storey splayed bay
with one similar sash and 2 blind apertures on each floor. The entrance range
has the original folding shutters and staircase with stick balusters.
