TL 63 SE LITTLE BARDFIELD OFF BELL LANE

House. C16 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Timber framed and
plastered. Red plain tiled roof hipped to left with left rear crosswing. Large
red brick chimney stack to left crosswing, chimney stack to right of front
range. 2 storeys and attics with 2 gabled dormers. 3 window range of
vertically sliding sashes, labels over. Central 4 panelled 2 light door,
moulded surround. Red tiled slanting porch on timber supports. Internal
features include 2 restored inglenook fireplaces, that to front range
re-plastered but with original plastered De Vere mullet over, C17 panelling in
this room now demolished. Panelled corner cupboard. C17 window with swan head
catch. Stop chamfered bridging joists. Some panelled and vertically boarded
doors. RCHM 6.
