TL 61 NW HIGH EASTER GREEN STREET

1/36 The Old Beer House

House, former ale-house. C18. Timber framed and plastered with thatched roof
half-hipped at east end and hipped to west. Of 2 storeys with thatched lean-to
of 2 low storeys on north east corner. This has a short jetty and C17 reused
moulded bressumer. C20 porch on south front elevation with hipped thatched
roof. One small off-centre ridgeline stack and stack against east wall.
Windows are a mixture of C20 and C18 leaded light casements. 'L' plan, 2
storey, C20 rear extension with flat roof and partly painted weatherboarding and
part painted brick. RCHM 27.
