1/42 Chimballs

House. Early to mid C17. Timber framed and plastered with very steep half
hipped peg tiled roof. Typical lobby entry house with 2 rooms on each floor.
Of 2 storeys but with C20 peg tiled gabled extension on north end. Hipped peg
tile roofed brewhouse on south end with very tall end stack. Central
rectangular ridge line stack and continuous rear catslide lean-to and gabled
dormer. C20 peg tile roofed enclosed porch and C20 casements. One spine beam
is offset for the stack and has elaborate baluster ornament on soffit at
abutment. Inglenook stack with cambered tie beam, unjowled posts and straight
wall bracing interrupting studs.
