Timber-framed house of C15 origin with Hall and west solar. It has the remains
of a moat. Considerably altered and added to in the C18 and later. In the
early C19 (circa 1830) it was completely refaced in white brick. At the east
and west ends of the front there are gabled wings and the centre block has
2 small gables. The windows are mainly double-hung sashes. Roof tiled, with
the remains of the Hall roof construction on the interior. There is also some
exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams and joists. (RCHM 7).
