House. C15 hall house with cross-wings, partly rebuilt in C16 and extended at rear
in C20. Timber framed and plastered, with red plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Gabled
and jettied cross-wings to left and right. 3 window range C18 vertical sliding sashes
with glazing bars and one modern casement. C16 central red brick chimney stack,
rebuilt at top. Frame is partly exposed internally, with moulded bridging joists, stop
chamfered beams and cambered tie beams. Moated site. (RCHM 2).
