C14 hall house with gabled cross-wings, altered and extended in C16 and C17.
Timber framed and plastered, with some frame exposed externally. Both wings are
jettied on carved brackets. Red plain tile roof. 2 storeys. 1:3:1: window range C17
and modern casements. 2 modern bay windows. Late C16, two bay extension at rear, at
north end jettied to south. Modern 2 storey rear extension. North cross-wing is C14
with ogee heads, service doors. Original crown post roof rebuilt. South cross-wing
is C16 with side purlin windbraced roof. Central hall partially rebuilt in C17, with
remains of original stretcher beam, with arched bracing, moulded and crenellated with
elaborate chamfer stops. Some C17 pargetting survives. Outside mullioned windows
and a C14 door. Red brick C17 chimney stack, with attached diagonal shafts.
