Late C14 open hall house with cross-wing, extensively altered in early C16 and
extended in C17. Timber framed and plastered with red plain tile roof.
2, 1, 1, window range modern casements with leaded lights. Modern gabled porch.
Internally much of the original frame survives with jowled storey posts, stop
chamfered beams, carved wall bracing, and diamond mullion windows. Large late
C15 red brick chimney stack with oak mantel beam. (RCHM 7).
