Late C16, timber framed and plastered house, with red plain tile roof, hipped at
north end. 2 storeys. Long wall jetty. 4 window range, with modern leaded lights
in original frames at first floor and C19 tripartite, double hung, vertical sliding
sash windows with glazing bars to ground floor. Original red brick chimney stack
has four attached diagonal shafts. Modern porch, has repositioned inscription
I.M. 1602. Internally most of the original frame remains. Original decorative
fireplace with cornice, frieze and vine ornament. 2 original doors. Early C17
wing at rear has some original detailing. Simple crown post roof. (RCHM 46).
