Star Inn

TL 63SW: 5/40


Late C14 hall house, with cross-wings, extensively altered in C16, C18, and C20.
Timber framed and plastered, with red plain tile hipped roof. 2 storeys and cellars.
4 window range, C18 double hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. Doors have
flat canopies with pilasters. The original cross-wing gables were oversailed in C18,
and jetties underbuilt. First floor inserted and hall partially rebuilt in C16. Wide
arched opening between north cross-wing and hall. Modern red brick chimney stack.
