C17 or earlier, with C18 and C19 alterations. Red brick facade, and timber framed
and plastered with hipped plain tile roof, and wide eaves overhang. 3 storeys and
cellars. L shaped plan. 5 window range, with 3 now blocked. Double hung vertical
sliding sashes. Ground and first floor have bay windows with plain tile hipped roof.
Central entrance with modern double doors, and C18 rusticated arched surround, and
fanlight with interlacing glazing bars. 2 side entries, one with arched brick head,
keystone and 6 panel door, the other with segmental head, keystone and rectangular
fanlight. Said to have good detailing internally, including panelling and ceiling
beams. (RCHM 14).
