TL 62 NE STEBBING DUCK END
2/353 Poplar Farmhouse

G.V. II

House. Early C19. Timber framed and rough cast rendered with brick rear
extension. Grey slate roof. 2 storeys. 3 window range first floor, 2 range
ground floor of small paned sliding sashes. Open gabled porch. 4 panelled
door with 2 lights and moulded surround. 3 symmetrically place red brick
chimney stacks. To the rear is a red brick extension of circa 1871 which formed
part of the farm group. It houses the Dairy, and the cellar still retains the
alcove for storing the Beer Barrel. C19 doors and stairs intact. The brick
wall extending south helps form a central yard between the house and range to the
south and the Eastern Main Range of farm buildings. The house is recorded as
Poplars Farmhouse 1824.
